Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n Tichka mountain pass – Ouarzazate
Our private Morocco tour from Marrakech starts crossing the Tizi Ntichka pass and we reach Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the local Kasbah. It is the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by El Glaoui Et-Hami. It is also a UNESCO World historical site. After lunch here we continue to Ouarzazate, called “ the Hollywood of Africa”, we may also visit the local studio. We stay overnight in a traditional riad/hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades gorges
After breakfast, we’ll explore the Dades and Rose valleys. We’ll drive the road of the thousands of Kasbahs to visit the village Kalaa M’gouna, which is famous for its roses products. A rose festival is held here each year. Our private Marrakech tour continues to Dades gorges where we will enjoy the amazing rock formation called “The monkey Toes”. We stay overnight in a traditional riad/hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Day 3: Dades gorges – Todra gorges – Merzouga desert
Today we will drive towards Tinrghir and the Todra valley, where we may walk under the 300 m high red cliff. Here many rock-climbers enjoy beautiful areas in the gorge. Then we will head to Erfoud and Rissani. We continue to the village of Merzouga from where we ride camels, guided by an experienced guide, to explore the Merzouga desert. Here you will spend a night under a nomad tent. We will climb the high dune to enjoy the desert sunset. We will have a traditional Berber dinner in a desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga desert – Rissani – Agdez – Draa valley
Our private Marrakech tour continues in the morning watching the sunrise in the desert. Then we ride camels back to the village of Merzouga. After the shower we will drive towards Rissani, then Agdez, and Alnif. We pass Tazarine before we reach the Draa valley at the Atlas mountains. We will arrive at the local riad/hotel where we spend this night with dinner and breakfast.
Day 4: Draa valley – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
On the last day of our private Marrakech tour, we’ll head to Marrakech. We enjoy the panoramic view of the palm scenery. We will visit Ouarzazatte , and then Ait Benhaddou. Local kasbah is a Unesco World Heritage site and a very popular location for Hollywood films, including The Last Temptation of Christ, Jewel of the Nile, and the Mummy. Then we will continue through the Tizi n Tichka Pass crossing the High Atlas mountains, and finally, we reach Marrakech.
