Tour Itinerary

Day 1: TANGER – CHEFCHAOUEN – FES

Merzouga Adventures organized Morocco Private tour with experienced drivers and guides. Our private Morocco tour from Tangier starts driving through the Rif mountains passing Teton and enjoying the views of the Rif mountains. Chefchaouan is one of the stunning villages in the area and has a Spanish-style square surrounded by arts and crafts stores. You can relax at a rooftop restaurant or cafe in the medina. After lunch here we continue our private Morocco tour to Fes where we will spend this night in a traditional local riad/hotel.

Day 2: EXPLORING FES

Today our private Tangier tour continues visiting the medina (the old city). We walk inside its alleys and we visit the Jewish Quarter and the Royal Palace. We will visit the famous tanneries in Fez, worth experiencing. Then we visit the Quaraouine mosque which is considered the first university in the world. We will stay for dinner and overnight in a local riad/hotel.

Day 3: FEZ – IFRANE – ZIZ VALLEY -ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA CAMEL TREKKING

Today we travel towards Ifrane, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. We may stop at Azrou, a Berber village in the cedar forest. We will have lunch in Midelt and afterward, we’ll drive along the Ziz valley. We’ll pass through few Berber villages to reach Erfoud and then Rissani. Then we arrive In Merzouga desert from where we will where we stay in local riad/hotel.

Day 4: MERZOUGA DESERT CAMEL TREK AND OVERNIGHT IN MERZOUGA CAMP

Today after breakfast we start our Tangier private tour exploring the desert of Merzouga by 4×4 vehicle. We will visit Khamlia village where we meet local Gnawa people and here we will learn about their famous traditional music. We continue our private Casablanca tour by visiting Nomad families living in the desert. Then we will drive to Rissani – a fortified village. Here we explore a traditional souk where locals selling spices, vegetables, and clothes. We drive back to the Merzouga and in the afternoon, we will ride camels to the desert. We will be guided by an experienced camel guide to exploring the highest sand dunes in Morocco. We may walk to the high dune to watch the sunset over the dunes. After we reach desert camp we will enjoy dinner at a campfire with Berber music and we stay overnight in desert camp.

Day 5: MERZOUGA DESERT – TODRA GORGES – DADES GORGES

We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After freshening up and breakfast we’ll leave for Tinghir and the Todra Gorges and finally arrive in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 6: DADES GORGES – KAALAT MGOUNA - OUARZAZATE

After breakfast, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna passing the route of the thousand Kasbahs. We’ll visit the Roses valley and also Skoura village. Then we continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. We will visit here local movie studios and also kasbah. We stay overnight in a local hotel.

Day 7: OUARZAZATE - AIT BEN HADDOU - MARRAKECH

After breakfast we will visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, also the UNESCO World Heritage site. Our private Morocco tour continues through the Tizi nTichka mountain pass over the High Atlas mountains. Then we will arrive in Marrakech late afternoon and that’s the end of our private Morocco tour.
